A Finely Crafted Interior Of The 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom
Via Rolls-Royce
Since the Phantom is the flagship of Rolls-Royce, the interior of the exquisite vehicle is mainly made out of leather, wood, and fine metal accents. The Phantom has always been about being exclusive, and in the 2023 iteration, one can also get a custom artwork in place of the standard dash panel. Its long-wheelbase version offers an extra 8.6-inches of rear legroom, which allows the passenger to stretch out their legs even further. It has a wheelbase of 139.8 inches, and the overall width of the cabin happens to be 79.4-inches making it one of the largest sedans on the market. Rear-hinged suicide doors continue to be an everlasting attraction as they open wide, allowing effortless ingress and egress. Rear seat passengers are catered with every ounce of luxury as the Series II features power-adjustable seats that include a heating, ventilation, and massage function. There is also an inclusion of a refrigerator between the two seats and remote control to operate the automobile’s infotainment system. The system on the Rolls-Royce uses an operating system based on the latest generation of BMW’s iDrive system, which works smoothly. The interior of the new Phantom is a fantastic place to be in, and the cabin is well insulated from the exterior noises to an extent wherein one could hear the ticking of its mechanical clock on the dash.

Engine Specifications & Performance
- Rolls-Royce
The mightiest Phantom rides with a mighty and super refined 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that makes over 563 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The eldest of the fleet can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds which is surprising but of course, you don’t want your chauffeur to test that. The Phantom can also reach up to a top speed of 155 mph which is also another thing that you won’t test out. The ones who will buy the car will be impressed by its mystique and ultra-refined performance. The 2023 Phantom floats on road like butter delivering a silky-smooth drive with absolute top-notch comfort. The ride is delightful and offers plenty of power to move this sedan. The cabin is quiet up to an extent where you won’t even hear a single noise inside its cabin which is insane and impressive at the same time.

Speaking of infotainment, the Phantom comes out standard with a large infotainment display artfully hidden behind a glass panel that expands the full width of the dashboard. It is controlled by a rotary knob on the center console. Assuming that passengers in the back seats are left out of the technical game, the Phantom also has touch screens that move down from each front seat to provide access to audio and car systems, and tuned live TV passengers will not be left behind in their favorite programs while traveling.
2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom : Engine
For the 2023 Rolls-Royce models, the power is provided by the silken 563-hp twin-turbo V-12 paired with eight automatic and rear drives. Acceleration is fast, but the Rolls-Royce time required of 5.1-zero-to-60-mph seconds is not something you would enjoy your driver trying to duplicate. The Phantom owner’s bright use goes hand in hand with the car’s fuel economy. EPA’s fuel economy estimates are as low as a 12-mpg city, although the 20-mpg Phantom highway rating is much better than the smaller Rolls-Royce Ghost at 2 mpg. In case we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to include the Phantom in our 200-mile fuel-economy test in the test results.
2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom : Safety
The Rolls Royce Phantom incorporates advanced safety features and provides eight open airbags in the event of an accident. These eight airbags include front driver airbags, front passenger front airbags, side front airbags, rear airbags, and side head airbags. Bentley Mulsanne, a fine sedan from Bentley also falls into the same price bracket and is a close rival of the Rolls Royce Phantom.
2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Black |
2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB |
Another strong rival of the Rolls Royce Phantom in the Indian market is the Mercedes-Benz S Class which also plays excellent safety features. In addition to the low price, the Mercedes Benz S Class also offers the same number of eight airbags. Another rival, the Lamborghini Aventador, which has the same price tag comes with six airbags and thus lags behind the 2023 Rolls Royce Phantom in this regard.
Rolls Royce Phantom Review 2023
Introduction:
Rolls Royce holds the unbeatable dominance in the automobile market when it comes to defining the luxury on roads. For generations this brand has been asociated with royal families across the globe and has a sense of panache in the word itself. Rolls Royce Phantom is simply the epitome of luxury, the value of this drive in today’s world does not really count amongst cars but with an incredibly rare piece of jewellery or a vintage palace. The new Phantom is once again presented in the Malaysian market with redefined luxury and timeless interiors so that the vehicle is perfectly tuned with the current era to rule the roads once again.
Engine, Mileage & Variants:
The royal Phantom is customised across the globe under 4 design variants namely Phantom, Phantom Extended Wheelbase, Phantom Drophead Coupe and Phantom Coupe. The utmost luxury of the car is accompanied with powerful 12-cylinder 48 valves engine and direct fuel injection that gives the maximum power output measuring 460 PS at 5350 rpm and maximum torque of 720 Nm at 3500 rpm. The powerfull engine helps the driver in reaching 100 km/hr mark in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/hr. The fuel economy is not impressive, as the car gives brings about a mileage of 14.1 L/100 kms.
Exteriors:
The designing of Rolls Royce Phantom is what makes it rather one of the most supremely elegant drive in the world today. The roof-line curve of Phantom gives a feeling of elegance and gives goosebumps even when the car is stationary. The dynamic features of the car are highlighted with chrome plating and brushed steel bonnet that clearly depicts the sleek designing of the car. The luxury of Rolls Royce Phantom embeds an overall dimension count measuring 5842 mm x 1990 mm x 1638 mm (L X W X H) alongside a wheelbase measuring 3570 mm that paves way for sufficient leg room, head room and shoulder room to the occupants. The 21-inch worth big alloy wheels of the car gives a road hugging experience to the driver with a tyre size of 255/ 50 R21.
Interiors:
If you had to describe Rolls Royce Phantom’s interiors in one word, it would be “Vintage”. However these interiors are complimented with suavely designed hand crafted features and technical advancements alike. The rear hinged coach doors and deep roof pillar gives the rear passengers a sense of theater and privacy. The starlight headline along with 800 optic fibre is equipped in the car to make the ambiance like romantic night sky. Almost each and every element can be configured according to the need, taste and requirement of an individual. To enjoy the ride with good music the car is equipped with 13-speaker music system along with two bass speakers. The infotainment system with 8.8 inch-screen located in center makes the journey more entertaining and gives a clear view during navigation. The Rotary Controller is installed in the car that gives the overall control of the car on fingertips. The boot space of 460-litres in the car is sufficient for carrying enough baggage during long rides.
Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:
The powerful stance, iconic proportions and immense luxury of car is accompanied with state of art technology that ensures the safety of the car in an effective manner. The ventilated discs are associated with Anti- Lock Braking System (ABS), Stability Control, Front, side, overhead and knee airbags for enhanced safety of the occupants. The Anti whiplash and pretensioners and security system installed in the car further enhances the security of Phantom.
Verdict:
It is the forte Rolls Royce, there is nothing that can match this royalty. Peerless craftsmenship and material quality is impressive along with plenty of customization option. But, formidable size makes it difficult for driver to maneuver in stringent spots.

Rolls Royce Phantom Review 2023
There is hardly anything which could cost beyond having a Rolls Royce but then there is hardly anything that brings forth more aesthetic value. The vast history record and the extreme level of stress given to the manufacturing of each and every car from the brand’s shed makes the legacy that this giant holds. One who is purchasing a Rolls Royce phantom is always aware of the genuineness and the status of the car and would not be using it often. Rather, people treat this car as a jewelery product whose single ornament if damaged would cost more than the value of any full-fledged car ever made by any Japanese automotive manufacturer. The car have certain stories regarding its leadership and mishaps with the royal families as well which makes it even more interesting to see and experience. The car started its journey in year 1925 after taking over the Silver-Ghost 40/50 as a successor, and hence, during that time it was also known by 40/50 abbreviation. Since then, it enjoyed various glorious years and fought through multiple controversies, rumors, disgraces and achievements, making its way clearer and confident to stand it to the place where we can see it in the current era. Being a completely handmade car, it takes more than 600 hands to get the perfect texture and crispness which is always expected from an RR. On the exterior, notice two simultaneous parallel lines passing through the side profile; these lines are crafted with squirrel hairs and each line takes about three hours to get completed with the desired shape and size.
The other fittings over the car’s exterior are also mounted manually along with the rubbing, polishing and multiple layer spay job execution, all by the human hands with several check points included. Inside the car also, each Rolls Royce will give you a different texture of wood finish as the real wood never repeats its shape and graphics. They all are melded manually to get their way into the car. The leather upholstery employed into the car’s components is also shaped and stitched by human hands. Rolls Royce could have done it with the help of automation also, but then what would be there calling it so special. With four type of body trims, it runs with a 6.8-liter V12 engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox which actually is a performer delivering a massive power output of 460 PS at 5350 rpm alongside a torque output of 720 Nm at 3500 rpm. In 2003, the Company celebrated their 100 years of market presence and showcased a concept vehicle named as 100EX with 9 liter V16 engine bonded with 6 speed automatic gearbox.

The Phantom Series II’s Uncompromized Power
Via Rolls-Royce
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II might be all about luxury, but that does not mean that the automaker has compromised even one bit in terms of performance. Powered by a silky-smooth twin-turbo V12, the Phantom Series II boasts a power output of 563 HP. It uses an 8-speed automatic transmission with all the power to the rear wheels only. These numbers enhance the car’s appeal; however, as the Series II weighs around 5600 lbs, it does not offer the best power to weight ratio. Nevertheless, it can strike the 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 5.1 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 155 mph. The Phantom is much suited to be a chauffeur-driven vehicle as it caters more towards comfort by offering an adaptive air suspension. The car also features a state-of-the-art pothole spotting camera that helps the suspension adapt to undulating road surfaces in real-time. To say that it has one of the smoothest rides in the industry would be an understatement.
Overall the 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II is a fantastic vehicle that quite literally floats down the road. Even the vehicle’s powerful engine is so smooth that come claim can place a quarter on the hood rev the nuts out of it, and it won’t fall. It has an uncompromized level of luxury and comfort and shall remain one of the best luxurious sedans on the market.
2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II: When Subtlety Speaks Volumes
Rolls-Royce, the ultimate symbol of automotive opulence, has unveiled the latest iteration of their flagship, the Phantom Series II. This is no dramatic overhaul; instead, the British automaker has opted for modest refinements, a tactic that might just be in sync with what Phantom aficionados had in mind.
Minor Revisions with Major Implications
Noted for its status as the epitome of luxury, the Phantom sees its eighth-generation benefitting from minor «light-touch» modifications. These changes come as a direct response to feedback from its esteemed clientele. Perhaps the most significant of these enhancements, at least in terms of visibility, is the addition of a polished line gracing the front, seamlessly connecting the daytime running lights right above the iconic Pantheon Grille.
Speaking of which, there’s an enhanced, more assertive prominence to the RR Badge and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, thanks to geometric alterations. Not to be overlooked, the grille now benefits from illumination, borrowing cues from its cousin, the Ghost. Along with these, the headlights come adorned with laser-cut bezel starlights, conjuring an enigmatic connection with the car’s Starlight Headliner.
Profile & Aesthetics: Elegance Redefined
Staying true to the Rolls-Royce ethos, the 2023 Phantom retains the brand’s distinctive long wheelbase, broad c-pillar, and that tantalizing short front and elongated rear overhang. New wheels join the fray, boasting a 3D milled design or a classic disc wheel harking back to the 1920s era of motoring. Those with a penchant for darker aesthetics can now have parts like the grille surround and bonnet reins in black, offering a contrasting look to the Phantom’s radiant persona.
Steering into the Future with Connectivity
The 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II isn’t just about looks; it now comes equipped with ‘Rolls-Royce Connected’, a feature that fosters an intimate relationship between the vehicle and the marque’s private members’ app, Whispers. From sending navigation destinations directly to the car to monitoring its status, this digital addition underscores the car’s commitment to the evolving needs of its owners.
Masterpiece Embodied: The Phantom Platino
Highlighting the launch of the Series II is the Phantom Platino, a testament to Rolls-Royce’s commitment to bespoke craftsmanship. The Platino, named after the silvery allure of platinum, revisits the brand’s foray into fabric interiors. Its interior, a rich medley of Italian mill fabric and bamboo fibers, showcases the Spirit of Ecstasy in abstract patterns. This meticulous attention to detail even extends to the Starlight Headliner, where the celestial design draws the gaze rearwards, enhancing the sense of space and luxury.
Where Perfection Meets Preservation
The challenge for any automaker is striking the right balance between evolution and heritage, particularly when the vehicle in question is as iconic as the Phantom. The 2023 Phantom Series II, with its select modifications, shows that sometimes, less truly is more. The updates, though minor, emphasize the brand’s listening ear to its clientele and its relentless drive towards perfection – even when they are already at the pinnacle of automotive luxury.
