What Sets It Apart From Other Luxury Cars On The Market
The 2022 Bentley Continental GT sets itself apart from other luxury cars on the market in several key ways:
Power And Performance
With a 6.0-liter W12 engine that delivers 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, the Continental GT is one of the most powerful and capable luxury sports cars with 15 mpg combined fuel economy. The car’s all-wheel-drive system and advanced suspension provide excellent handling and stability, making it a joy to drive. Along with this, the Speed variant of GT has an electronic limited-slip differential that helps to adjust the torque and power between the rear wheels for better traction and control.
Craftsmanship And Design
The Continental GT is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. The car’s interior is handcrafted using the finest materials, such as leather and wood, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the cabin. The exterior design is bold and aggressive, making the Continental GT a true standout on the road.
Technology And Innovation
The 2022 Continental GT is equipped with the latest in infotainment and safety technology, including a large touchscreen display, Bentley rotating display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration, a premium sound system, a rearview mirror, and advanced safety features.
Heritage And Reputation
Bentley has been a leader in the luxury car market for over a century and has a long history of producing exceptional vehicles. The Continental GT is part of this legacy, and its reputation for quality and performance is unmatched in the market.
How It Differs From The 2020 Model
The 2022 Bentley Continental GT is an updated version of the 2020 model, and have the key differences between the two:
Strength And Efficiency
The 2022 Bentley Continental GT is truly a force to be reckoned with, boasting an unstoppable 626 horsepower engine and unwavering 664 lb-ft of torque. While its 2020 predecessor stood formidable in these regards, the new model raises the bar even higher thanks to finely tuned suspension and all-wheel drive technology that makes driving as smooth as ever.
Improved Technology
Driving gets even more luxurious in 2022 than in the 2020 GT. At your fingertips are a plethora of advanced features – an expansive touchscreen display for smooth navigation, voice-activated infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration to stay connected on the go, plus a premium sound system that’ll make each drive feel like it’s straight out of paradise.
2023 Bentley Continental GT : Interior
The interior is covered in fragrant leather and delicate wood finishes, and almost everything about the Continental GT can be customized. Bentley’s designers thought through everything carefully, and each time behind the wheel, stunning details emerged, such as skillfully wrapped control buttons and double-stitched seat embellishments with diamond patterns. Although the Continental GT technically has seatbelts for four passengers, it’s recommended that you do not use the rear seat to carry adult-sized people, as its legs and head distance are limited. Inside, the cabin is a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system.

Bentley Continental GT Mansory |
The navigation map can be displayed on the digital screen between the devices in front of the driver, which makes the rotating display a nice option. The infotainment system is equipped with features that include Apple CarPlay and a number of apps, while the upside-down system is optional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and there is also a digital gauge display that allows the driver to control most of the functions of the Continental GT using the steering wheel. The Continental GT offers two optional audio systems: the Bang & the Olufsen arrangement and the stunning Naim system. By default, you get a 10-speaker 650-watt sound system, but you can switch to a 16-speaker 1500-watt Bang & Olufsen device or push a boat on a 2200-watt, 18-speaker Naim system.
2023 Bentley Continental GT : Engine
Equipped with V-8 and W-12 engines that support the previous generation Continental GT, the car provides muscle performance. Our testing of the older model showed that the 542-horsepower V-8 coupe could reach a top speed of 100 mph in 3.4 seconds. The more expensive W-12 engine produces 626 horsepower on non-speed models and can accelerate the coupe to 100 mph in 3.3 seconds. The same engine is tuned to 650 horsepower on the Speed model, and we estimate it could reach 60 in 3.1 seconds. Both engines use an eight-speed two-clutch automatic transmission that disables fast but smooth gear changes. Customers can order a coupe or a convertible with any engine, all Continental GTs are equipped with a standard all-wheel-drive system. The two-turbo V-8 is the most fuel-efficient offer on a particular model, as you know, efficiency is not the main thing for a car manufacturer or its customers. The EPA rates the Continental V-8 at 16 mpg in the city and on 26 highways. In our actual tests, the 200-mile road fuel economy test averaged 28 mpg on the V-8 model.
2023 Bentley Continental GT : Safety
Euro NCAP is unlikely to ever test exotics like the Continental GT independently, even though they recently crashed the new Porsche Cayenne for the first time. It shares the Continental platform and has done five stars very well, so expect a similar level of security from Bentley with similar foundations and security systems. The 2023 Bentley Continental GT specification certainly has a lot of driver safety features. The list goes on and on auxiliary and blind positioning assistants, road sign detection, autonomous brake adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, and night vision camera.

The Best Of Both Worlds
As it has been since its introduction, the Continental GT rides on a Volkswagen Group developed platform. Also, like its other generations, the Continental GT’s platform is shared with the Panamera, and the 3rd generation’s is the modular MSB platform introduced with the 2nd gen Panamera. But, Bentley themselves had their hand in its development, and shared parts are negligible, consisting mainly of just the paddle shifters.
Updated for its 3rd generation as well, the Continental GT’s body looks absolutely stunning, with all the hallmarks of the original present, like the grille, lights, and overall shape, but with thoroughly modern updates like the aggressive lower grille, body creases, and more. Still packed with sumptuous luxury and plentiful features, the Continental GT is a great jack of all trades, offering much more direct driver-focused dynamics than other luxury cars.
Making those dynamics even better for 2022, the Continental GT sees the introduction of a new GT Speed model that enhances performance further, while the other trims get updates of their own. Each of those trims, though carries with it what makes the Continental GT great, including a low center of gravity, advanced AWD system, and a big powerful engine, all topped with an incredible interior that has a plethora of options to make it your own.

The Seat Of Luxury
As much as the performance makes it an awesome machine, the Continental GT has always stood out even more for its incredible interior, and 2022 continues that beautifully. Re-designed for its 3rd generation, the Continental GT’s interior design is amazing, with a wrap-around style that encompasses occupants with an awe-inspiring array of materials and trim.
Offered with rich leather and bespoke choices like Alcantara, real wood, aluminum trim with finishing options lifted from Swiss watches, and more, the leather inside the Continental GT is more impressive than the highest-end furniture, requiring a full seven cows to line the interior, and using 310,675 stitches to hold it all together with 2 miles of thread. With so many options, the Continental GT’s interior can be customized exactly to your liking, from the leather colors to the types of wood veneer used, along with countless other touches.
Furthermore, the Continental GT’s more practical side is good, with small backseats that aren’t exactly made for adults but can carry cargo, as well as a 13 cu-ft trunk that is good but falls behind other 6-figure luxury cars like the Rolls-Royce Ghost’s 18 cu-ft trunk.
Tech is excellent, though, with a 12.3″ infotainment screen that can be hidden behind a swiveling panel to streamline the interior with more wood and beautifully finished analog gauges, and offers Apple Car Play and Android Auto along with smartphone connectivity, and connects to an awesome sounding Bang & Olufsen or Naim audio system.
Also packing plenty of driver assists, the Continental GT offers active lane keep assist and blind-spot monitoring and can be equipped with some advanced ones like night vision, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and more. Topping all this off, the W12 Continental GT gets 13 mpg city / 22 mpg highway, while the V8 models get around 16 mpg city / 26 mpg highway.

Whether you’re driving to a luxury event or on a long road trip, the Continental GT provides the perfect combination of comfort, performance, and technology.
Swan Song Of The Bentley W12
Speaking of sound, though Bentley has promised that the 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine that powers this car is not long for this world—it is being phased out in the next few years, as the brand shifts to electric power—we feel certain that we will hear its bellows in our dreams for eternity.
This glorious motor, mated to a dual-clutch eight-speed automatic gearbox, rockets the car from zero to 60 in just 3.5 seconds (a tenth quicker than the regular GT). The exhaust cracks off on shifts, burbling with the kind of profligate delight that makes us wish internal combustion engines weren’t responsible for so much of our world’s ruination. (Here’s to our electric future.)
The big twelve is not a screamer like a twelve-cylinder Ferrari or Lamborghini, but that isn’t the personality of a Bentley anyway.
The mill is muffled by its W-shaped cylinder array, and the stifling effect of twin-turbocharged forced induction, but it’s a basso profundo to a Ferrari’s high-pitched wail. It has a purposeful vehemence to its clamor, the kind of stentorian depth ordinarily accorded to a science fiction villain.
Forbes Wheels got to sample a variety of Continental GT Speed interiors in both Coupe and Convertible form, some more traditional than others. A vast array of personalization options await lucky buyers. Bentley
Bentley’s Velvet Glove
This stridence exists in stark contrast to the rich, insulating creaminess of the cabin. 15 different leathers can be specified in a vast array of color and split combinations.
The Speed designation generally signifies the elimination of some of the high-gloss hide-and-teak for which Bentley interiors—like English drawing rooms in general—are known. Typically, those materials are replaced with “sportier” Alcantara and matte carbon fiber. (Better known as plastic.) A few of the examples we drove, however, forewent this casual dressing and allowed the richness to shine, quite literally.
As in the regular Continental, there’s a 12.3-inch infotainment screen but, if you want to lock out the world and enjoy a more classic style (and want to pay a little extra), the rotating display flips away to reveal either a blank veneered panel or three petite dials: a clock (er, Chronometer), an air temperature indicator and a compass.
As on the regular Continental, the touchscreen can rotate away to reveal a trio of gauges or a blank panel, but the Bentley puts lots of hard controls easily at hand. Bentley
For those who want to be connected, there’s a 60GB hard drive, a 4G phone system, Apple CarPlay, two SD card slots navigation and Wi-Fi. Buyers can spec a host of advanced driver assistance systems, but only by selecting the optional Touring specification, which seems odd at this price.
There are no “bad” cars in this rarified corner of the automotive universe. In fact, there aren’t really very many cars at all, anymore. Rolls-Royce’s Dawn and the Wraith will be available in the U.S. only through this fall, though they’ll continue on sale abroad. Mercedes-Benz killed the S-Class Maybach Coupe and Ferrari axed the shooting brake GTC4Lusso in 2020. The charmingly sinister Aston Martin DB11 remains, but it’s also a smaller and lither machine.
That leaves the Continental GT Speed as the biggest, newest and fastest luxo-barge in the armory. If you’re dapper enough for the Royal Ascot or rich enough to have your own hollowed-out volcano headquarters and in the market for the perfect bunker-buster, the GT Speed is an ideal choice.
Bentley Continental Review 2023
Since its inception, Bentley Motors has proved its strong presence in the auto-world and has altered our understanding of great automotive’s. From Bentley’s earliest days, it has inherited the racing DNA coupled with the utmost luxury features that money can buy. One offering from Bentley’s stable that has made headlines all over the world is the Continental series. Bentley comprehensively took the Grant Touring rulebook and rewrote it with the introduction of Continental GT.
With the Bentley Continental GT, the company launched its one of the finest car in the Malaysian market. This new Continental GT is inspired from the design line of a stylish coupe with experiments done by Bentley adding the brand’s signature style with it. GT is commendable output of the company loaded with powerful performance and hand-crafted luxury. It is powered with 12-cylinder, 6.0-litre Continental engine with twin-turbochargers that is sufficient to produce maximum power of 567 bhp at 6100 rpm and high torque of 700 Nm at 1700 rpm. In addition, a new eight-speed quick shift transmission is provided that reduces the time in gear shift and accelerate the overall speed of the vehicle.
Continental GT’s exterior appearance is a result of working on the designing of its legendary predecessors and then coupled with the advanced technologies. GT’s dominant bonnet is made in coupe’s style with elongated and slant surface and has a pronounced rear profile giving it a wider and longer look. The distinctive wraparound LED lights at the rear distinguish it from others and emphasizes its overall width on looking from distance. The interiors are skillfully set with all the needed equipments and accessories and is made hand-crafted so as to give the cabin stylish and spacious look. The instrument panel and dashboard tactfully get subdued with the flying wings of the Bentley motif and is lined in high-quality soft touch leather fabric. To compliment its modern interiors, the Continental GT is equipped with advanced touchscreen technology through which both the driver and front passenger can operate the infotainment, satellite and multimedia features. Apart from all the standard interior features, Bentley Continental GT offers you additional Mulliner Driving Specifications to add-on in your Continental GT. While ordering the car, you can customize your car in favorite color, interior fabric and other comfort and entertainment specifications.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
We expect a luxurious cabin from anything wearing the Bentley badge, and this two-door is no different. The interior is swathed in luscious, aromatic leather and fine wood veneers, and nearly everything about the Continental GT is customizable—for a price, of course. Bentley’s designers thought every design detail through, and each time behind the wheel reveals a surprising detail, such as expertly knurled control knobs and double-stitched diamond-pattern seat trim. Although the Continental GT technically has seatbelts for four occupants, we’d suggest you avoid using the rear seat for hauling adult-size people since both leg- and headroom are limited. In our testing, we were able to fit five carry-on suitcases in the Continental’s trunk—plenty of space for a weekend away with your favorite travel companion.

Infotainment and Connectivity
A 12.3-inch infotainment display dominates the center of the dashboard. It’s part of a unique, three-sided rotating unit that also includes a panel with three small analog gauges for exterior air temperature, time, and compass heading, and a third side that shows nothing but matching instrument-panel trim. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability are standard, as is a digital gauge display that allows the driver to manage most of the Continental GT’s functions using controls on the steering wheel. The Continental GT offers two optional audio systems: a Bang & Olufsen arrangement and a spectacular Naim system.
Engine Specifications & Performance
Under the hood lies two powerful sets of powertrain options similar to most Bentley cars to provide a pleasurable ride with a lot of power. The base variant comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces over 542 horsepower. The more expensive model offers a powerful 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine that makes a hefty 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The most expensive Speed model produces a hefty 650 horsepower with the same twin-turbo W12 engine. Both V8 and W12-powered models offer a ferocious acceleration that can go from 0-60 mph in 3.4 and 3.1 seconds.
Apart from the rapid quickness, the car can reach a top speed of over 190 mph that can be increased to over 208 mph. Having a Bentley means experiencing the best comfort with an endless power supply at your disposal. Just as said, the Continental GT offers a surreal performance with superior handling and provides a silky-smooth drive. Both engine options manage to deliver a great throttle response with supreme levels of refinement. Blended with a prestigious cabin inside filled with luxury materials, the car makes sure you never run out of comfort at any point. The Continental GT offers two rear seats but we all know how that works.
The Sporty Side Of Things
Since its creation, the Continental GT has used an awesome and unique engine type, namely a W12. For 2022, this engine remains, namely the 6.0 L twin-turbo W12, making a plentiful 626 hp, while the 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 option introduced in 2019 continues, making 542 hp.
Pairing to these engines, the only transmission option is a dual-clutch 8-speed auto derived from Porsche’s PDK transmission, with excellently smooth shifting action to give the Continental GT a constant rush of acceleration. Speaking of acceleration, the W12 powered coupe models can do a 0-60 mph run in 3.3 seconds, while the weaker and more affordable V8 ones do it in a not far off 3.4 seconds, all while delivering massive muscle-car-like waves of power.
This isn’t where the Continental GT’s sportiness ends, though, as the nearly 5,000 lb car gets some surprisingly impressive handling thanks to precise steering, active anti-roll bars, a standard AWD system giving excellent grip with its 22″ wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tires, as well as drive modes that can vector torque. Topping all this off, the Continental GT has an equally impressive top speed, with 207 mph claimed for the coupe, while the convertible similarly can crack the 200 mph barrier.
Taking this further, 2022 sees the new performance-oriented GT Speed introduced, packing many tweaks like new turbos taking the W12 engine from 626 hp to 650 hp. These tweaks though are most impactful on the handling, with a rear-wheel steering system, electronic limited-slip differential, more rear-bias for the AWD torque split, a revised chassis, giant 17.3″ carbon-ceramic brakes optional, and more.
Making the big Continental GT into a serious sports car, the GT Speed can do 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and has a marginally higher top speed of 208 mph. Furthermore, styling changes like a dark tint grille and unique wheels distinguish the GT Speed as the sportiest of an already impressive lineup.
