2023 RAM 1500 GT Laramie and Rabel
Special editions are very popular these days, and RAM Trucks brings another one to the market for the 2023 model year RAM Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T. These new trucks will satisfy many dealers with a sporty attitude and added performance touches. The 2023 RAM 1500 Laramie G/T model starts with receiving a sports performance hood (a sports hood is standard on the Rebel).
The Laramie and Rebel G/T trucks then add unique G/T exterior graphics. Boosting performance on the Laramie and Rebel G/T models are the factory-installed Mopar cold air intake and paint-back exhaust systems.
Moving inside, the Laramie and Rebel G/T 2023 RAM 1500 pickups will be treated to an update very similar to those found on the TRX models. The AG/T-only interior comes with high-roll bucket seats and the G/T logo.
The trucks also received a metal pedal kit, a steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifter, and a console-mounted performance shifter (which we liked the most). RAM also adds a performance page to the Uconnect G/T system, which displays information such as engine performance, 0-60 times, G-forces, and more.
The 2023 RAM 1500 Laramie and Rebel G/T will only be available on Crew Cab models equipped with the company’s 5.7L Hemi V-8 engine with eTorque. The Laramie G/T will come with an MSRP starting at $55,480, while the Rebel G/T will start at $55,375, both excluding the $1,695 destination RAM fee.
In comparison, the similar 2023 RAM 1500 Rebel and Laramie start at around $53,000, making the G/T package really worth the price of admission.
2023 RAM 1500 TRX
It’s basically impossible to dispute the fact that the absolutely insane TRX RAM receiver is awesome. It’s massive and produces over 700 horsepower, not to mention all the awesome aggressive styling touches.
Unfortunately, it costs more than $70,000 to get started, which is a lot of money. Now, if only RAM offered a truck with some of the TRX’s good performance and imaging features, but at a lower price.
RAM announced the 2023 RAM 1500 G/T model on Wednesday, based on Laramie and Rebel hardware. These trucks have a few TRX-specific features like Performance Sheets (which give you tons of performance metrics and data and let you watch them in real-time in the car or download them to a USB drive) and steering wheel shifters. sports performance hood and upgrades. other aesthetics.
In addition, all G/T models feature a performance exhaust with back painting as well as a new cold air intake. No, that’s not going to make up for the 292hp difference between the standard G/T 5.7-liter eTorque mild-hybrid V8 and TRX’s screaming Hellcat V8, but that’s something, right?
The 2023 RAM 1500 Laramie G/T starts at $57,175 and the Rebel G/T starts at $57,070, including a target RAM fee of $1,695. The G/T model will be available at dealers in the third quarter of this year.
Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500.
2023 Dodge RAM 1500 Preview
The full-size, lightweight 2023 Dodge RAM 1500 pickup truck has grown into a complete machine over the years. It looks solid, even elegant, but that doesn’t mean the truck can’t do it.
Typical for this segment, at least from domestic manufacturers, RAM 2023 is available in Normal, Extended, and Crew Cab configurations. The Regular Cab is called the RAM 1500 2023 Classic and is based on a much older body style. Choose the four-door version for the ultimate design.
Standard rear-wheel drive, available all-wheel drive, different bed lengths, package options, and drivetrain upgrades allow for extensive customization across a range of equipment variants.
Dodge RAM 2023 has announced that it will add performance-oriented Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models for 2023 RAM 1500 Engine Options. Both are offered in a double-cab configuration with paddle shifters, Mopar cold exhausts, and intakes, as well as the truck’s 5.7-liter V8 mild-hybrid engine.
Everyone is talking about the 2023 Dodge RAM 1500, especially the Crew Cab model. Not so long ago, the terms “luxury” and “pickup” were not used together. The RAM 1500 2023 changes that, especially in the upper area, where smooth leather adorns the interior.
RAM 2023 drives smoothly and helps pamper passengers. Like other models, 1500 is challenging to maneuver on city streets.
The current 1500 RAM does not lack drive options. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Next up is the 5.7-liter V8 engine that develops 395 horsepower and 411 pound-feet of torque. At the top of the range and exclusive to the TRX is a 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 with 720 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
A fourth engine, this one with diesel, is also available. This 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 makes 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Like the other three engines, it works with 8-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to safety, the 2023 Dodge RAM 1500 is a mixed bag. While the competition consistently adds standard safety features, the RAM 2023 reserves automatic emergency braking for the upper equipment.
The same applies to functions such as the blind spot monitor, active lane control, and adaptive cruise control. They are available in most configurations but are not part of the standard equipment. The head-up display and the reversing camera are now available.

NHTSA gives the Ram 1500 a five-star rating (though Quad Cabs get only four), while the IIHS makes it a Top Safety Pick. Only the Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating in this class. The Ram’s lack of standard active-safety features hold it back in our evaluations. There’s lots of good gear available, but it’s all optional where some or all is included at Toyota and Ford.
On the base-grade Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie models, the $595 Level 1 Safety Group adds forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and advanced brake assist.
The best gear isn’t available until the Rebel level, where the $1,695 Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera and emergency front braking, but not blind spot monitoring, which requires upgrading to the Longhorn where these extras become part of a $6,395 Level 1 Equipment Group.
The G/T street truck package is available on the Laramie and Rebel, and is aimed at on-road performance and visual flair. This one also shows off the RamBox storage units and split tailgate. Ram
2023 RAM 1500 : Interior
The Dodge Ram 1500 has an excellent interior that’s a clear step above most competitors’ cabins. 2023 Dodge RAM 1500 looks good and includes lots of premium materials, and the higher finishes give it a luxury vehicle feel. The Uconnect infotainment system works well. The touchscreen is responsive and the menu layouts are intuitive and easy to navigate. Buyers can also customize the screen layout by setting shortcuts for the functions you use the most. The current RAM pickup 12-inch touchscreen is one of the largest in its class.
The 2023 Dodge 1500 comes with a 6-foot-4-inch or 5-foot-7-inch bed, depending on the cabin style. You can place 4-foot-wide sheets of plywood between the wheel wells, and there are plenty of features to make the bed more usable, such as cargo lights, a tailgate step, and RamBox built-in storage boxes. The existing 60/40 split multifunction tailgate can open downwards like normal or open to the sides like barn doors. The rear seats of the Four Cab models have ample room for adults, but the Crew Cab provides the widest rear seats in its class and little more than its smaller counterpart. The Ram’s wide doors also make it easy to get in and out of the cabin.
2023 RAM 1500 : Engine
The base engine of the Ram 1500 is a 305-horsepower V6 with an eTorque mild-hybrid system that increases torque during acceleration. This engine gets the job done as it never feels powerless in everyday driving and has plenty of fluid to tow small trailers. For some serious towing, you want one of the two 395 horsepower V8s or the 260 horsepower diesel V6. All unlock much higher towing capacities than the V6, and the V8s provide better acceleration.

2023 RAM 1500 Rumors |
These are good grades for the full-size pickup truck class, V8-powered Ram models get 15/22 mpg city/highway, in line with competing for V8-powered trucks. However, if you opt for Ram’s eTorque V8, the ratings soar to 18/23 mpg. The turbodiesel rated 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, making it the most fuel-efficient powertrain to date. The all-wheel-drive TRX’s monstrous supercharged V8 is the opposite of diesel, with staggering ratings of 10/14 mpg city/highway.
2023 RAM 1500 : Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2023 Ram 1500 Crew Cab models an overall safety rating of five stars out of five, with five stars in side crash testing and four stars in frontal crash and rollover tests. All other models earned a total of four stars, with five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the frontal crash test. In the rollover test, most models got four stars, but 4WD Ram Classic models got three stars. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave RAM 1500 the highest grade of Good in all six crash test categories.
Alongside the standard halogen headlights in the lower fairings, the existing midrange LED reflector headlights received the second-lowest Marginal rating for how well they illuminate the road ahead. Optional LED projector headlights are rated Good for directional visibility. The Ram received the highest rating of Superior for the optional vehicle-to-vehicle forward collision avoidance system, while the optional vehicle-to-pedestrian system received the intermediate Advanced rating. Equipped with good headlights and front collision avoidance systems, the 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 models were awarded the organization’s second-highest award, the IIHS Top Safety Pick.
- Ford Ranger;
- Ford F-150 SuperCab;
- Cadillac Escalade EXT;
- Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab.
Если смотреть японские автомобили, то главные преследователи, это:
- Toyota Tundra;
- Nissan Navara;
- Toyota Hilux;
- Mazda Bt-50;
- Toyota Tacoma;
- Honda Ridgeline;
- Nissan NP300 Double Cab;
- Mitsubishi L200;
- Suzuki Equator Crew Cab;
- Isuzu D-Max.
Серьёзных соперников в Европе мало. Российские машины и Fiat не считаем, румынские Рено тоже. Остаются разве что Volkswagen Amarok и Land Rover 110 Double Cab Pick Up.
2023 Dodge RAM 1500 MPG
With V-6 and V-8 hybrid engines as well as diesel options, the RAM 1500 series offers variable fuel economy. The EPA estimates that the most efficient V-6 RAM will reach 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the V-8 version is rated at 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.
The government estimates that diesel-powered RAMs will reach 22 mpg in city and 32 on highway; these numbers are slightly lower in all-wheel drive. The Rebel we tested earned a highway 24 mpg on our 75 mph real-world fuel-efficient route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen.
That’s 6 mpg better than the gas-only V-8 Rebel and 4 mpg better than the non-hybrid Laramie V-8 we tested. For more information on the 2023 RAM 1500 fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
2023 RAM 1500 Redesign: What’s new for RAM 1500
By 2023, RAM is expanding the ways buyers can get a half-ton pickup truck. The new additions include a sporty G / T package for Laramie and Rebel, the rugged BackCountry Edition, and a more luxurious version of the Limited known as the 10th Anniversary Edition.
The G / T is highlighted by the cooling air intake, unique exhaust system, paddle shifters, and console-mounted shift levers. The BackCountry Edition is essentially an off-road-oriented package for the price-conscious Big Horn and Lone Star models.
The 10th Anniversary Edition upgrades the Limited model with richer interior materials, an exclusively available Blue Shade paint color, and special badges inside and out.
When Was The RAM 1500 Redesigned
Sales quickly doubled and then doubled again. Further redesigns followed in 2002 and 2009.
The Dodge RAM 2023 name was dropped after the 2011 model year, making the 2012s the first RAM brand buyers. The latest RAM 2023 is the new 2019 available in the quad and double cabinet models.

2023 Dodge RAM 1500 FAQs
What’s new in 2023?
The 2023 Dodge RAM 1500 is restoring the popular EcoDiesel engine, although this time its main competitor also offers a version with the same engine.
The new Night Edition is also available with Big Horn and Laramie Packs, which add dark trims, new badges, and different wheels.
Trim levels Rebels also get access to trim packages that are as dark and can now be equipped with a series of driver assistance and safety systems. There are also three new colors.
How Much Fuel Consumption of 2023 Dodge RAM?
The standard engine is a 3.6 liter V6, aided by a lightweight 48 volt hybrid system called the Ram eTorque.
This system adds a small amount of electric power when accelerating from a stop to increase power and improve dynamics, as well as increasing fuel efficiency and an automatic stop / start system.
Power output of 305 horsepower and 365 Nm of torque, and eight-speed automatic transmission is standard at all trim levels.
It is estimated that EPA fuel consumption is 11 liters per 100 kilometers in urban conditions, and 9 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. More recently, the V6 midsize sedan has shown similar fuel savings results.
What are the Specifications?
Two 5.7 liter V8 versions are also available, both of which produce 395 horsepower and 555 Nm of torque. One has an eTorque system and eats an average of 12 liters per 100 kilometers.
The other version does not have an eTorque system and eats an average of 13 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
Increased gluttony due to 4WD can be ignored. While the difference in fuel savings with and without eTorque may seem small in terms of expenses per day, when you calculate how much you are saving per year, it becomes clear that eTorque is very useful.
EcoDiesel VS DuraMax VS PowerStroke, Which is more efficient?
The EcoDiesel engine is back for the 2023 Dodge RAM 1500. The 3.0-liter V6 produces 260 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, the highest of a full size diesel engine.
It only eats 9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. It’s a little weaker than the Chevy DuraMax, but a little better than the Ford PowerStroke.
However, your savings will greatly depend on the price of diesel in the area where you live. However, EcoDiesel can save a few hundred dollars a year compared to eTorque V8, and its scope increases at one time.
2022 Ram 1500 Price and Configurations
Ram offers the 1500 in Quad Cab (extended cab) and Crew Cab styles, with your choice between a gasoline 3.6L V6 with standard eTorque mild-hybrid system, a gasoline 5.7L V8 (without or without eTorque), and a turbocharged 3.0L diesel V6. In addition, a four-wheel-drive (4WD) system is an option on all Ram 1500 models except for the TRX, which is an off-road performance variant and includes it as standard equipment, along with an exclusive supercharged 6.2L V8 engine.
Prices range from $36,995 to $77,475, including the $1,795 destination charge. In total, eight trim levels are available:
-
Ram 1500 Tradesman — Though the Tradesman is a workhorse made for commercial buyers, it includes air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power heated side mirrors, cruise control, and Bluetooth connectivity. Vinyl covers the floor and seats, and the Tradesman has a Clean Air interior filtration system
-
Ram 1500 Big Horn — One step up from the base trim, the Big Horn features carpeting, cloth seats, aluminum wheels, and chrome bumpers. It also provides more options, making this trim a good foundation for personal-use buyers on a budget
-
Ram 1500 Lone Star — The Lone Star is the same truck as the Big Horn but made for Texans
-
Ram 1500 Laramie — Laramie trim adds numerous little luxuries to the Ram 1500, including leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote engine starting. In addition, Uconnect 5 is standard (optional on Big Horn and Lone Star versions) along with better stereo speakers and Ram Connect services, including a Wi-Fi hotspot
-
Ram 1500 Rebel — The Ram Rebel is based on the Big Horn but adds numerous off-roading features, including a reworked suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plates, tow hooks, and more. Rubber floor mats protect the carpeting, and the Rebel has unique design details to set it apart from other models
-
Ram 1500 Longhorn — This Western-themed trim adds exclusive exterior detailing, 20-inch wheels, side steps, a spray-in bedliner, and a locking tailgate. Premium leather lines the interior, and the Longhorn also comes with standard navigation, heated rear seats, and parking sensors
-
Ram 1500 Limited — The Limited is the luxury version of the Ram 1500, equipped with upscale exterior and interior detailing, an air suspension, a larger infotainment system display screen, and more safety technology
-
Ram 1500 TRX — Equipped with a 702-hp, supercharged V8 engine, and completely reworked mechanicals to support high-speed off-road driving, the Ram TRX is ready to run the length of Baja California without putting a single one of its 35-inch all-terrain tires on pavement. But given its 12-mpg fuel economy rating, you should bring extra gas

2022 Ram 1500 Review: The Drive
Truck buyers love the rumble of a good, old-fashioned «Hemi» V8 engine. But they don’t like the fuel economy those engines return. At Ram, the answer to the efficiency issue is the optional turbocharged 3.0L diesel V6, also known as the EcoDiesel.
As far as fuel economy is concerned, and depending on which version of the Ram 1500 it’s bolted into, this turbodiesel V6 is estimated to return 24 to 26 mpg in combined driving. I averaged 24.8 mpg on my evaluation route, running the truck in automatic 4WD with the air suspension in its middle position. Remember, though, that the test vehicle’s hard tonneau cover likely helped to reduce aerodynamic drag on the highway.

While this real-world result is undeniably appealing, the engine upgrade cost $3,200. In other words, it’s going to take some time before the EcoDiesel pays for itself and starts to save you money. Ultimately, though, it will. But you can achieve those gains faster with the more affordable Duramax turbodiesel engine option that Chevy and GMC offer in their trucks.
The EcoDiesel generates 260 hp at 3,600 rpm and 480 lb.-ft. of torque starting at 1,600 rpm. That torque, coupled with the engine’s faint characteristic clatter, makes the drivetrain appealing beyond its fuel economy figures. Ram says the engine can tow up to 12,560 lbs, but as installed in the Limited 4WD Crew Cab, the rating amounted to 9,600 lbs of trailer and 1,780 lbs of payload.
Ram
There is enough grunt here to make the Ram EcoDiesel satisfying to drive. Punch it at highway speeds, such as when passing slower vehicles, and the engine can seem a little gutless. Otherwise, you can easily ride the engine’s substantial swell of torque like a surfer at Waimea Bay.
Ram’s five-link, solid-axle rear suspension design uses progressive rate coil springs instead of traditional leaf springs, contributing to the 1500’s laudable ride and handling qualities. The optional four-corner air suspension replaces the coil springs and offers five height settings. It gives the Ram 1500 an even smoother ride and planted handling unlike most pickup trucks we’ve ever driven.
When you combine the EcoDiesel’s torque, the optional air suspension, and the Limited trim’s upscale and quiet cabin, you get a full-size truck that drives like a luxury sedan and returns better fuel economy than a typical three-row crossover SUV. If you’ve never experienced it before, it’s downright miraculous.
2022 Ram 1500 Review and Test Drive
Ram last redesigned its full-size pickup truck for the 2019 model year. At the time, the new Ram 1500 earned critical acclaim for its appealing design, quality interior, technologically advanced infotainment system, and its overall towing and hauling capabilities. The Ram’s unique rear suspension configuration and available air suspension also garnered praise for giving the truck an uncommonly smooth ride and capable handling.
On the strength of the latest Ram 1500, the truckmaker is chipping away at the sales success of its primary rivals: the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the Ford F-150. In 2021, Ram successfully grabbed the number-two slot on the sales charts, dethroning the Chevy. Ram has also put the popular 1500 pickup on a continuous improvement program, adding powertrains, new features, next-generation technologies, and special-edition models since the 2019 redesign.

The most significant update for the 2022 model year is a switch to a new Uconnect 5 infotainment platform. Ram’s parent company, Stellantis, claims that Uconnect 5 is five times more powerful than the technology it replaces. That means it offers a faster response to inputs, the ability to customize the user experience to personal preferences, sharper graphics, and much more. Additionally, all 2022 Ram 1500 models add a new air filtration system that can remove a claimed 95% of all particulates from the truck’s interior air.
For this 2022 Ram 1500 review, I test-drove the Limited trim level in Southern California. It came with a long list of options and a price of $77,260, including the $1,795 destination charge. Highlights from its optional equipment list included a turbocharged EcoDiesel engine, 4WD, the Limited Level 1 Group, the Limited 10th Anniversary Package, the Technology Group, trailer-towing equipment, a tonneau cover, and more. Ram provided the vehicle for this Ram 1500 Crew Cab review.

Infotainment: 14/15
Ram’s Uconnect infotainment system is functional and easy to use. The default screen is 8.4 inches, though in the low-end Tradesman HFE buyers get an older version of Uconnect running on a very basic 5-inch screen. The 8.4-inch unit’s menus and graphics are beginning to look a little dated, but they’re intuitive and easy to navigate. It can simultaneously connect two wireless devices and can display multiple screens. It uses TomTom navigation and gets over-the-air updates.
Laramie and higher models offer an optional 12-inch screen that’s standard on the Limited. This big screen is pretty, but its vertical layout overwhelms the dash; Ford also offers a 12-inch screen, but it’s horizontal and better integrated into the design.
Ford’s gas-powered F-150s also retain more physical buttons and dials for frequently used functions, while the larger Uconnect system stuffs them behind the glass or in a few buttons alongside. This means tapping two or more times for something as simple as adjusting the seat heater, which is needlessly distracting. Toyota’s big tablets in the high-end Tundras are similar but offer better voice commands. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all but the 5-inch screen.
The basic 5-foot-7-inch bed comes with a rail system, but there are many different options to equip it with other storage features, including the RamBox lockers. Alex Kwanten
2023 RAM Rebel
One of the most interesting features of the 2023 RAM Rebel is the ability to choose the powertrain you want. There are four options starting from the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with eTorque technology. The final powertrain option is a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel.
2023 RAM Rebel the average Dodge Ram 1500 can have 300,000 miles on it and still perform like a beast. However, that is only if the truck is properly cared for throughout its service life.
What is the price of the Ram 1500 TRX 2021? The price of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX starts at $69,995 plus a $1,695 destination fee. Ram hasn’t announced how much the additional package will cost. That’s a much higher starting price than the Ford Raptor, even as a SuperCrew (taxi crew), which starts at $57,785.
Fuel Economy: 13/15
At least for the moment, there’s more variety than ever among full-size truck engines, with Toyota offering V6 hybrids, Ford offering a set of hybrid and regular turbocharged V6s as well as a traditional V8, and GM offering turbocharged four-cylinder, diesel inline six and old-school V8 engines. The Ram may not be a Prius but it compares well with its rivals.
The EPA hasn’t released estimates for 2023 yet, but as the powertrains are unchanged from 2022, the basic rear-drive V6 models return 20 mpg city, 25 highway and 22 mpg combined, which is similar to the 2.7-liter V6 in the Ford F-150, even with the most frugal Tundra and better than the four-cylinder Silverado. Add 4WD and all of these trucks rating slip by 1 to 2 mpg.
Ram’s 5.7-liter V8 with eTorque is rated at 20 mpg in combined driving with rear-wheel drive, a considerable improvement over the 17 mpg it gets sans eTorque, and on our 375-mile test, we found this number to be accurate. Ford’s 5.0-liter V8 makes more power, and still matches Ram’s V8 eTorque rating of 20 mpg. Rear-drive Ram diesels return a combined 26 mpg and lose 2 mpg with 4WD, which is about 1 mpg shy of the diesel Silverado and even with the less-aerodynamic Sierra.
Is the 2022 Ram 1500 a Good Truck?
The Ram 1500 is deserving of its second-place sales finish behind the Ford F-150 in 2021. However, the competition isn’t sitting still, so the Ram is under constant threat.
Ford, for example, just introduced a redesigned F-150 Raptor and is coming for the Ram TRX with a V8-powered Raptor R. Chevrolet and GMC are giving their full-size light-duty models a thorough refresh at the halfway point of the 2022 model year, along with more capable off-road versions of each. Plus, diesel power is more affordable in the Chevy and GMC. Toyota is out with a new 2022 Tundra, too, complete with an available high-powered and high-efficiency hybrid powertrain.
And then there is the coming wave of electric trucks to consider. Ford is about to roll out its first electric F-150, the Lightning. Chevrolet has revealed its own electric pickup, the unimaginatively named Silverado EV, which goes on sale in 2023. Finally, startup Rivian is slowly beginning to deliver examples of its R1T.
Where’s Ram in all of this? It has an electric truck coming, but no details are available just yet. If you ask me, it should be called the Ramcharger.
