The advertised high-speed Unlimited Motion system also includes a new Lamborghini rear-wheel-drive system. Ferrari F12TDF
The F12TDF was based on the F12berlinetta, but was more powerful and created as a tribute to the Tour de France automobile race. Like the Centenario, the F12TDF is a limited production vehicle, but at 799 units, it is nowhere near as limited. The F12TDF was also priced quite cheaper than the Centenario at just over $330,000, but on paper, the two cars promise to show strong competition if they ever go head-to-head. The F12TDF has a 6.3-liter V-12 that produces 769 horsepower and 519 pound-feet of torque. That’s just one pony less than the Centenario. The F12TDF can hit the 60mph sprint in 2.9 seconds with an estimated top speed of 211 mph. As of November 25, 2015, the F12TDF had already sold out, so don’t expect to get your hands on one of these anytime in the near future.

The basic Lamborghini Centenario has carbon ceramic brakes with monolithic 6-piston front and 4-piston rear aluminum calipers, as well as perforated discs with ventilation on all wheels. There are 400-millimeter “pancakes” in the front and 380-millimeter “pancakes” in the rear.

It can run the 3,351-pound car from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and 0-186 mph in 23.5 seconds, with a top speed of over 217 mph. Aiding in the quick acceleration is the permanent four-wheel drive, which includes the new Lamborghini rear-wheel steering system. Inside, each Centenario is personalized to the customer’s liking through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization program. Well, we are really fancying to get a ride of the Lamborghini Centenario. And when we got a chance to dive it, it was initially like a dream. A huge a powerful coupe with tons of horses running in the engine with loads of exhaust suppressed using the Euro-6 level 2. When we got back into the reality, we thought to test the handling. It was delicately poised with the dose of electrons running inside the steering wheel. Every turn felt like we were gliding in the air. And when we braked this car, it stopped like a hell. Quite actively and responsively, indeed!

Interior – Luxury
According to Lamborghini, the customers that pre-ordered the Centenario can provide their recommendations for the interior design elements. However, the default solutions are as follows: the seats are made using a high-quality, lightweight carbon fiber; sun visors, inner door panels, steering wheel, and many other elements are manufactured using this material as well. It gives it impressive looks but also reduces overall weight which is important for performance oriented vehicle like this.
Another awesome feature that is pretty much available exclusively in the segment of supercars is the interior cameras. Although they are optional, most customers will pay for them because they allow you to record the experience as a driver, which is super fun when Centenario shows what it can do.

As expected, the Centenario is powered by Lambo’s naturally aspirated V-12 engine that has been uprated to prove an output of 770 horsepower. The engine speed limiter has also been raised to 8,600 rpm. This is the most powerful engine from Lambo so far, and it should scream when it gets close to that 8,600 rpm redline. Lamborghini didn’t specify actual torque output of the engine. Power is sent to all four wheels via Lambo’s independent shifting rod gearbox. The Centenario can hit the 62 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds and the 186 mph benchmark in 23.5 seconds. Top speed is said to be more than 217 mph.
In addition to the permanent all-wheel drive system, the Centenario also has rear-wheel steering. At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn opposite of the rear, creating a virtual reduction of the wheelbase and increasing turning agility. At higher speeds, the wheels turn in the same direction, creating a virtual increase of the wheelbase. Lamborghini didn’t give us too much information outside of what we’ve already covered, but we know the Centenario has three different driving modes, all three of which change the way the engine, transmission, and rear wheel steering responds. Needless to say, this baby should be quite fun on the road or the track.
Exterior
The design of the car is similar to other models of the Italian company, however, despite this all details of the body of the sports car here are original. The novelty is equipped with a large number of air intakes, which not only emphasize the appearance, but also serve for the necessary cooling of the power unit. The exterior of the Lamborghini Centenario is even a little bit like the Veneno version, mainly in the rear.

The car got 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels as standard. Rear of the sports car boasts an adjustable spoiler. It can be completely lowered or maximally raised by 15 cm. Moreover, it is possible to adjust the angle of its tilt depending on the driving style to improve aerodynamic performance.
The stern of the Lamborghini Centenario coupe has glass inserts and air ducts for cooling. The rear bumper is a work of art and the optics are similar to the Lamborghini Veneno. From the headlights come six lines, which smoothly go into the diffuser. The diffuser itself has three exhaust pipes. Very ornate is the Y-shaped lights.
Interior
Getting inside the Italian supercar, you are simply amazed at the quality of assembly and equipment. The driver will see a three-spoke steering wheel, covered with alcantara and having inserts made of carbon fiber. Then the engineers of the company placed the dashboard, which is equipped with an LCD display that displays all the necessary information. Inside, there are two seating places.
In addition to the alcantara and carbon fiber the company has used leather. The seats themselves have received excellent lateral support. The central console boasts a 10-inch touch screen, which displays not only the necessary data, but can also perform multimedia purposes. It is equipped with Internet access, as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. Bluetooth, a navigation system, a rear camera, a premium music system and even telemetry are not left out.
Then there are a variety of keys that allow you to control various functions of the vehicle. Nearby there is a place for the buttons to select the mode of the suspension and transmission. Nearby, the Italian engineers have installed the engine start button and the rear speed button. The interior stands out with an abundance of carbon fiber. Aerodynamic Enhancements
During development, aerodynamics were a key factor. Lamborghini chose an adjustable rear wing that actively adapts to vehicle speed in order to provide optimal downforce as conditions demand. Aerodynamic inlets, consisting of several fins, characterize both the front and rear fascias of the Centenario, paying tribute to sports cars of the 1970s.
Like the rest of the vehicle’s design, the inlets also enhance the car’s performance by contributing to aerodynamic downforce. It also improves airflow to the rear radiators for optimal engine cooling.
Large side air intakes behind the doors are a direct reflection of its predecessor, the Lamborghini Miura, which was the first ever mid-engine supercar. The Miura celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Conclusion
I have to say that I haven’t been a fan of some of Lambo’s recent special edition and concept cars, but I actually like the Centenario. It’s aggressive and sleek, and it should be given the V-12 is the most powerful Lambo has made to date. I still think this is one of those “look at me” type of cars, but when you really think about it, that’s what a limited run model is supposed to do. If I had the money and the chance to buy one, I probably would. If not for the exterior design, certainly for the interior. That cabin looks comfortable and fun to sit in, plus I’m sure this car is an absolute blast to drive. Too bad I’ll probably never have the opportunity.
What we thought
Well, Centenario is yet another Lamborghini’s model that continues the tradition of exclusive limited edition cars which allow the designers to experiment with various technologies and design possibilities. We think that the design was famously aggressive and spectacular, just like many other features and materials used during the production. Some super cool features like the interior camera will certainly make the owners want to hit record and take this car for a quick spin. As we expected, it will be super limited to just 40 vehicles, which may be disappointing to many speed enthusiasts and Lamborghini lovers because the brand is certainly admired by more than 40 people in the entire world; so as strange as it may sound for some, this one has been already sold out. However, it’s still great to have this one reviewed, because it can impress and inspire (and there is always a possibility that one of the owners will be nice enough to lend it for a test drive).
